The event was attended by leaders from the industrial, HR and SESMT areas


The JBS Novos Negócios plant in Lins (SP) organized a Health and Safety workshop for leaders from its industrial, Human Resources and the Specialist Occupational Medicine and Safety Engineering Service (SESMT) areas.


The theme of the event was “Security Block for hazardous energy – Your Attitude can Save Lives” and was organized to discuss the concept behind Security Blocks used on machinery and equipment and signage for hazardous energy, as referenced in the Regulatory Standards and the Self-Management Safety Program (SSPAG).


The event was also an opportunity for the team to reflect on possible improvements at JBS Novos Negócios plants, focusing on accident prevention, in order to guarantee team members, service provider and third-party safety.


Paulo Siqueira, Corporate coordinator of Occupational Safety at the JBS Novos Negócios division, highlighted the importance of this issue at Novos Negócios facilities.


“We can use information and knowledge to help people understand the dangers and risks involved and ensure they comply with the Company safety procedures, in order to avoid workplace accidents”, said Siqueira.


JBS invested over R$ 300 million last year in team members Health and Safety globally. The investment was earmarked for structural improvements, including modernizing existing and purchasing new equipment to help prevent, reduce, mitigate or eliminate incidents.
