The event in Pimenta Bueno (RO) assessed 584 animals
São Paulo, October 28, 2019 – The Nelore Quality Circuit stage held at the Friboi’s Pimenta Bueno plant, in Rondônia, assessed 584 animals. 432 were males and 152 were females. The results were announced by the Brazilian Nelore Breeders Association (ACNB) and the Rondônia Nelore Breeders Association (ACNR).
“Nine cattle farmers took part in the Pimenta Bueno event after investing in their herds to improve their quality. This stage was of particular interest because of the age of the animals we assessed”, said André Locateli, executive manager at ACNB.
67,4% of assessed male animals had up to 2 permanent incisor teeth, with an average weight of 19.7 arrobas. Females weighed an average 13.5 arrobas, while 97,3% had up to 2 permanent incisor teeth, and 62.6% had deciduous teeth.
After the assessments, Alceu Elias Feldmann took Gold for best Male Carcass lot. Eduardo Garcia won Silver and Daniel Aiello Sartor took Bronze.
Best female carcass lot went to João Bosco Altoe Júnior. Eslei Rodrigues de Souza won Silver and Valdir Heinzen took Bronze.
The gold medal winners received 500 kilos of Matsuda mineral supplements which will be delivered to their farms by the company’s technical experts.
