Cutting and deboning professionals will take part in the 5th edition of the JBS Without Frontiers program
São Paulo, September 13, 2019 – Brazil is among the world’s biggest beef exporters, making the country one of the greatest training centers for skilled labor in the industry. As a result, JBS, the largest animal protein company in the world, has created the JBS Without Frontiers program, creating opportunities for employees to bring their cutting and deboning expertise to the Company’s Brooks facility, in Alberta, Canada.
This year, the program has selected 16 professionals from across Brazil, stemming from places such as Bahia, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Santa Catarina and São Paulo. Initially designed for Friboi employees, the program was extended in 2019 to staff at Seara, the JBS poultry, pork and industrial goods division.
JBS Without Frontiers is a way for Brazilian employees to help their Canadian counterparts improve their knowledge, helping to streamline productivity and deliver an even better product to the end consumer. The formula has been a success: after sending 60 employees to help operations in Canada, the program is now in its 5th edition.
JBS helps its employees integrate socially as soon as they arrive in Canada. They attend English classes in order to become better accustomed to this new phase in their lives The next group will arrive at Brooks in September.
