The event will be held on November 5 and 6 in Itapetinga (BA)
São Paulo, November 05, 2019 – The Brazilian Association of Nelore Breeders (ACNB) and its Bahia branch (ABCN) are organizing the first stage of the 2019 Nelore Quality Circuit in the Northeast region of the country. The stage will take place on November 5 and 6 at the Friboi plant in Itapetinga (BA).
“We have great hope for the way livestock farming is developing in our state. Although farmers were affected by a period of dry weather, breeders are once again investing in high quality meat production. This is the ideal time to host the Nelore Quality Circuit, as demand for exports is rising. The event is a critical part of efforts to strengthen the industry”, said Paulo Lisboa, president of the ABCN.
Widely recognized for the success of the local farming industry, western Bahia is increasing investment in cattle farming. The state currently has almost 220 cattle breeders and 2,000 head of mostly Nelore cattle, Brazil’s most popular breed.
In addition to providing local farmer with insights into the strengths and weaknesses of their production systems, the Nelore Quality Circuit also rewards producers presenting the best carcass lots. The Nelore Quality Circuit is organized by the ACNB and sponsored by Friboi and Matsuda Sementes e Nutrição.
